When I was in college at IU, I worked at Hoosier Courts PreSchool. My roomates worked there and I thought it might be an easy job. At the time, I didnt really like kids, I never wanted to have any and was dead set on heading to law school when I graduated. Hoosier courts changed me. I loved seeing a place where kids were encouraged to learn through play and everyday was something new and stimulating for them. I fell in love with those precious children and found myself working more and more hours. I had a way with those little people and it energized me to be with them. Staci told me that I would make a good teacher one day. I wasnt so sure. I was so sure that I was supposed to join my dad's law practice, that I didn't consider education as a viable option. My roomates, staci and bethany convinced me to take an education class. I loved it. Hoosier courts changed the course of my life. I am a natural teacher. It was what I was supposed to do all along. When I visit, I still see the spark in those children's eyes and the magic of that place in the air. Tuesday, we visited Staci's classroom and my own children played all day. It is a wonderful place.

Monday March 21

Poppa tries to teach cookie to steer and it didn't go well. She tends to go in circles.

 We had a show. The kiddos put on a Disney show... Winnie the Pooh and Piglet, Alice in Wonderland, Woody from Toy Story and the narrator. They all dressed up and memorized their lines. I have to say that this performance was one of the better ones.

 I love this face...I miss her already.

Freckles loves it in Indiana. We loved being at Appa and Poppa's house. She spent lots of time in the woods exploring. they made a trail down to the creek and climbed on the rocks. She loved it.

Spring Break with my peeps

We arrived in Louisville on Saturday Night. We went to church and then to WW Cousins for dinner. It was great to see everyone. I missed my family so much. The cousins were excited to be together and got along so well. the highlight of the weekend was getting to meet baby Samantha!! She is a little doll and I love her already. It was so good to be home.

Sunday Night was Family Game Night. Wish we could make it a monthly thing...

sick days

February 15 and 16

Fever, sore throat and achy all over. Those girls spent 2 days on the couch watching movies, sniffing and eating popsicles. It was as enjoyable as sick days can be. The beautiful sunshine was taunting us as we sat indoors hoping to feel better.

She was so sad that she missed Montesauri school this week. Toy Story 3, popsicles, all day with big sis reading her stories and wearing kitty cat pajamas all day was a pretty good consolation though



Valentine

Our Valentine's Day was warm and wonderful. Valentiny Party... playing at the park.... special night at jr hi youth group... and flowers from Daddy. A day to feel loved.
