today I need some time to breathe.

Are these the perfect pumpkins or what?!!? My favorite part of the day was watching Cookie try to carry hers.
We liked the tractor ride around the farm ( even if we did lose a water bottle along the way)
Birthday eve-- we got too eat in an old plane--turned restaurant. The birthday girl was excited about eating over the wing. We even got to play in the old cockpit.
We took a fantastic field trip to Fountain Creek park to do a pond study on the big day. We celebrated with our homeschool friends and chocolate covered pretzels. That night we went up to see Grandma at the rehab hospital. We took our neighbor friends and a pink cake.

We LOVE to go to the Taste of Colorado on Labor Day weekend. Great way to spy out some new restaurants.

1. hot chocolate on a snow day ( I prefer marshmallows, but will accept whipped cream)
2. dancing with D in the living room like we did on our third date
3. apple butter and fresh baked bread
4. burning leaves and bonfires ( smells like fall)
5. blowing bubbles
6. squishing sand between my toes looking for shells
7. movie theatre popcorn, milk duds and holding hands
8. rocking a baby fresh out of her bath
9. rain on my window at night
10. cotton candy

I have the program's library housed in my room... I am working on some comfy places to sit and enjoy a book... pillows and beanbags are there and I am looking for a bench.

Yesterday was day one of Home school academy. It was good, but I was exhausted. I forgot my guitar and overplanned in some area, but overall this will be a good year I think.
