We have really been enjoying our summer. We have been spending a ton of time playing outside. Big sister has been showing little sissy the ins and outs of the Barbie Jeep. I am afraid M will be outgrowing it and turning over the car keys soon.

We had a great visit with two of the Conrads. This pic was taken at Helen Hunt falls. It was great to see family.

We had the best time with our new friends--Sara, Cole and Carter. We went to Manitou Springs to the Penny Arcade. I stole all the pics from Sara. Maya and Cole are friends from Cottage School at TCA. Sara and I share a love for Jesus and our families. The Roberts girls are blessed to have them in our lives.

Quirks about you? don't like to sleep under a ceiling fan or nearest to the door.

How would the person who loves you the most describe you in ten words or less? I'm too busy and have my head in the clouds.

Any regrets in life? I regret that I haven't always walked with God. I knew he was my Savior, but he wasn't always my Lord.

Worst job you ever had? Brad's Bagel store. making bagels sucks.

What job would you pay NOT to have? I would pay not to have a job.

If you could be a fly on the wall, where? Duane's work. It is so secret, I always wonder what it looks like and what happens there. I am sure I would be disappointed.

Favorite Bible verse right now? Psalms 16:1-2 Keep me safe, O God, for in you I take refuge. I said to the LORD, "You are my Lord; apart from you I have no good thing."

Got any confessions? sometimes I want chocolate and peanut butter so bad that I sneak into the kitchen and melt chocolate chips and stir in PB. I add whip cream if I have it.

If you had to spend $1000 on yourself, how would you spend it? Clothes, books, a trip.

Favorite thing about your house? Feels cozy with D, M and C in it.

Least favorite thing about your house? downstairs junk. too much junk in the house.

One thing you are bad at? Saying"no" to anyone.

One thing you are good at? Music stuff

If you could change one thing about your circumstances, what? Get to stay home with kiddos without feeling the pain of losing the second income.

What makes you feel sexy? pedicures and martinis

Who is your real life hero? My dad for his perserverance and strength and Mom for her integrity and faithfulness.

What is the hardest part of your job? job?

When are you most relaxed? With Duane.

What stresses you out? Duane working nights, money, my weight, club foot.

What can you not live without? Tivo, starbucks, internet, kisses friends

Why do you blog? Originally I wanted to share photos with my mom and dad who don't see the kids very often. Now I just like it.

Uncle Wilber's Fountain

We cooled off Downtown at Uncle wilber last Monday. Charli was scared at first, but loved it when the statue and dog popped out of the top of the fountain and sprayed her. Thanks to her brave big sister who took her into the cold water.

summer class at CC

I am teaching this summer at Colorado College. My class is Up Up and Away and is a world travel class for second and third graders. On Tuesday we had Joe the Balloon guy come and do a demonstration with his balloon and discuss traveling around the world that way. The kids loved it.

They were a little disappointed that we couldn't go anywhere in it, but some said it was the coolest thing they had ever seen.

My First Popsicle

Hooray, My mommy just gave me this yummy treat. She said I had to to eat it out side because it makes a mess. It is cold and sweet and delicious.

new york saturday 5/24/08

We started off in Central Park. I recognized several things from movies and tv. It is so sad when all your references come from kids' movies ( Enchanted ) and (Law and Order and CSI New York). We wandered around and finally found Belevdere Castle. We saw the Strawberry Fields John Lennon memorial.

Greenwich Village. We had brunch at a sidewalk cafe and then wandered the streets. I loved the brick homes and the quaint little shops. I can see why it is such a trendy area. We meandered up and down the streets exploring the places that Steph passes on her way to work. We saw these cupcakes in the bakery window and had to have one. We found a garden in a church yard and feasted on cupcakes ( pink for me and chocolate for Steph).

We saw something being filmed and while I hted to look too touristy - I had to snap a picture. I have no idea what it will be. Let me know if you see this guy in some movie.

We had dinner in SoHo and found a street fair in Little Italy. I loved my stay in New York. I enjoyed seeing the people and places that are part of Stephanie's life. I look forward to my next trip to the Big Apple!

Territory Days

The family made it to Territory Days in Old Colorado City this year. We got to look at some booths, eat ice cream and enjoy the beautiful afternoon. Duane and I used to take Maya to festivals all the time- but now with duane's schedule, two children and Mary with us, we don't make it as often as we like. This year, a good time was had by all, even if Dane couldn't find a turkey leg. I would have to say that the biggest hit this year was cotton candy.

These girls love cotton candy. I am not sure Charli had ever had any before, but needless to say she loved it. She is concentrating so hard in this picture!
