Well there was so major excitement Tuesday morning at our house. We woke to scraping gravel and moving trucks. Clearly there is some work being done on the road across the street from us. This is a dream come true for Cookie, as one of her favorite things is construction vehicles called " diggers". Upon further investigations they were digging up the sewer line. We watched them dig for a while.
We are slowly but surely getting back into the swing of homeschooling. We have been sleeping late, which is a pattern that we need to change. We have a new math curriculum this year and are liking Singapore Math. Currently we are studying Pilgrims, and early settlements in the new world. Next week we add Science with a study of weather from christian cottage program. I am pleased with m's writing and she continues to improve her vocabulary. She is working on an entry for a writing contest for kids her age. The deadline for her submission is October 1.
My mother in law left today. She had been with us this week to celebrate D's birthday and go to the doctor down here. It is always a challenge to have her with us, but this visit was surprisingly easy. I worry about her failing health and dampened spirit.
My job officially starts next week. Students come on Thursday. M will go with me and C is looking forward to playing with baby B at her babysitter's house.
It is a busy but exciting time for usat our house. We wish everyone a wonderful and relaxing Labor Day Weekend.

How's Maya's foot?
Cole sure is fond of your Maya. Don't you love and appreciate knowing what is going into your young ones heads(for the most part)? Being home with these precious lives is so important to their future and the future of our country. They are lucky to have such a caring family! You are all blessed..........
